Hattie qualified from Bristol in 1997 and after spending a year in mixed practice in Hampshire she became an assistant in Lambourn. She became a partner in Hall and Lawrence Veterinary Surgeons in 2001 and ran her own ambulatory practice in Lambourn from 2009 before joining Valley Equine Hospital in 2012.
Hattie has particular interest in lameness and poor performance evaluation and elite horse management. She also spends much of her time carrying out pre-purchase examinations both in the UK and overseas.
She is responsible for the overground endoscopy service and takes both internal and external referrals. Her caseload is equally divided between horses in training and elite event horses, and she acts as both a racecourse veterinary surgeon at Kempton, Sandown and Epsom racecourse and is an FEI treating vet and Veterinary Delegate.
Outside of working hours she enjoys time with her children, cooking and socialising.
